About The Chef I grew up on the Jersey Shore and lived there for most of my early life. As a young adult I traveled the country extensively, as well as Europe, before settling in Northern Vermont in the late eighties. I have a diverse culinary background with more than twenty years of professional food service experience. I began cooking at home when I was a young child. At 16, I was washing dishes and quickly worked my way up in the restaurant business to prepping, cooking, managing and eventually ownership. I attended the Academy of Culinary Arts in Mays Landing, NJ and later I attended Johnson State College in Vermont where I graduated with a BS in environmental science. Working in a number of area restaurants I eventually developed my own personal style of cooking, incorporating what I have learned over years and combining it with a bit of personal creativity and taste. My cooking interests include a mix of healthy-fare and multi-ethnic cuisines. In 1998, I opened Adam's Apple Café in Morrisville, Vermont. In addition to operating the restaurant, I also developed a part time catering service. Running a restaurant had me busier than I ever wanted to be. I truly love to cook, but the long hours and responsibilities of ownership seemed to take most of the fun out of cooking and too much time away from my family. Deciding to close my restaurant in 2002 was not easy an easy decision, but reducing stress in my life and spending more time my family and friends was become increasingly important to me.
Today, I Live in northern Vermont with my hound dog, Mr. Magoo, and enjoy my career as a Personal Chef. I continue to prepare quality meals for my clients. I enjoy experimenting with new ingredients, techniques, regional cuisine's and recipes whenever possible. Best of all, I have time in my life for the things that are important to me. I can help you improve the quality of your life too. By taking over your weekly chores of menu planning, grocery shopping, preparing your weekly meals and cleaning the mess, you gain precious time to spend doing what's most important to you. Just think what you could do with a couple of extra hours in your day!
I am also a member of the American Personal Chef Association am certified by Serv-Safe and fully insured.
